Cloudbeds is constantly making improvements to our applications. Starting from December 15th, 2022, this release will affect properties using Advanced Channels Rates feature to ensure that Cloudbeds PMS can update properly your multiple OTA rate plans. It will reduce confusion and errors during channel setup. Check in this guide how to proceed.
Action is required from all properties using Advanced Channel Rates Feature that used to have derived rate plans for the following channels:
- Booking.com
- Expedia
- Mr &Mrs Smith
If you do not update your derived rate plans until December 15th, 2022 to a Cloudbeds rate plan, Cloudbeds will remove them from the drop-down menu list and your rate plan mapping will be set as blank.
This release will not prevent you from receiving reservations or updating the channel.
Background
The Advanced Channel Rates feature allows you to synchronize all your Cloudbeds PMS rate plans to supported OTAs (channels). To ensure Cloudbeds can update a mapped OTA rate plan, all derived rate plans that were previously created on the channel extranet will be removed from the rate plan mapping step/section in the channel setup area.
Only OTA rate plans that can be mapped to a Cloudbeds rate plan (Advanced Channel Rates feature) will be displayed.
Follow the next steps to update your existing derived rate plans.
Derived Rate Plans are usually named differently from "Standard"/"Base Rate", such as "Derived S" for Expedia. If you have doubts while identifying your derived rates, reach out to you channel's account manager for assistance.
Next Steps: How to Update my Rate plans in Channel Mapping
- Go to Settings (gear icon)
- Go to Channels under Channel Distribution menu
- Search for the Channel to be updated and click on Enabled
- Click on View/Edit next to Rate Plan Mapping
- Click to Configure rate plan for each room mapped
- In the drop-down menu, select a rate plan that is non-derived in the extranet according to your advanced rate plan configuration or leave it as blank.
- Save
Follow the same steps for each room/channel mapped with old derived rate plans to complete the update.
